December 3 @ Saskatchewan Rush

Officially kicking off its title-defending campaign, the 2022 NLL Champions begin their season on the road, facing off with the Saskatchewan Rush at SaskTel Centre for a Week 1 matchup on December 3rd. Always a tight battle with the veteran-led squad, the likes of Mark Matthews and company dropped its first of three matchups last season during a 12-10 final at Ball Arena, but eventually captured the season series with wins in its own barn on February 26 (10-9 OT) and later on April 16 (9-8). With the squad adding another goaltender this offseason in Alex Buque, he and the Rush will be put to the test right away as the Mammoth head north to kick the season off in Saskatchewan.

December 17: @ Panther City Lacrosse Club

With no home contests scheduled to take place in Ball Arena during the 2022 calendar year, Colorado will continue its schedule after an early bye week by visiting Dickies Arena December 17 for a matchup with Panther City Lacrosse Club. Coming off its inaugural season in which the organization made some noise before eventually vying for a postseason berth, the organization hosts the Mammoth for the first of three regular season bouts after capturing the season series (2-1) over Colorado last year. Full of youth and reloaded from the recent 2022 NLL Entry Draft, Mammoth fans can expect a scrappy set of meetings between the second-year squad and defending NLL champions this season. Colorado was able to capture its first-ever meeting against Panther City on Dec. 17, 2022 before ultimately dropping the series via dropping contests on March 11 (20-14) and March 26 (10-6). Now, exactly one year after facing off for the first time in history, the Mammoth will travel south to meet the purple and black crew in Fort Worth, Texas to continue the beginning of its campaign on the road.

January 7: vs. Calgary Roughnecks

Taking the Loud House to another level in the new year, Ball Arena is set to host more than 10,000 of the best lacrosse fans in the world as the Mammoth unveils its 2021-22 NLL Championship banner before entertaining another familiar opponent in the Calgary Roughnecks Friday, January 7. Serving as the first of three meetings with one of its most-noted West Conference rivals, Colorado's home opener marks the first matchup between the squads since the teams met during the 2022 NLL playoffs, when Colorado defeated the Roughnecks in Calgary during the quarterfinal round. The 16-12 contest represented the first time the Mammoth beat Calgary in the postseason since 2006, when Colorado captured its first NLL championship. With plenty of ties between the organizations, on the field, in the locker room, history books and beyond, the Mammoth will look to get an early series advantage over the Roughnecks after dropping last year's season series 1-2.

January 28: vs. San Diego Seals

Always a friendly matchup between the familiar foes, the Mammoth is set to host San Diego after defeating the Seals in a three-game, West Conference Finals showdown last spring. With San Diego landing a series of productive free agents this offseason after coming up short in 2022, the Govett-led group charges back into the Loud House for the first of what should be three fiery matchups with the purple and yellow squad. While the Seals were victorious during its first trip to Ball Arena last year (13-4) before exiting with another W when Colorado visited Pechanga Arena March 19 (9-7), the Mammoth ended its regular season series with San Diego by posting an 11-10 final April 9 before eventually eliminating the Seals in the postseason.

February 4: @ Las Vegas Desert Dogs

With a seventh team added to the NLL's West Conference in the Las Vegas Desert Dogs, the Mammoth will not play each of its Conference opponents three times each this season, as they are only slated to compete in two regular season matchups with the Vancouver Warriors (April 8, April 29) and the Desert Dogs (February 4, March 31). While the team (and its dedicated supporters) will travel to Las Vegas to participate in the team's inaugural season, the visit will come on the tail end of a back-to-back, with Colorado hosting the Georgia Swarm at the Loud House the night prior. Regardless, the team will be amped to compete against former teammates in Erik Turner, Sam Firth (2022 NLL Expansion Draft selections) Jacob Ruest and beyond, as former Mammoth Offensive Coordinator Shawn Williams prepares to make some noise during his first season as General Manager for the Desert Dogs.

March 18: @ Buffalo Bandits

Everyone loves a good rematch, right? (Well, technically, the NLL Finals were the rematch from 2006, but we'll play anybody!) Fresh off losing yet another big game to the talents of Dillon Ward and company (Chaos dropped PLL Championship game to Ward and the Water Dogs Sept. 18), the Buffalo Bandits will look to build on their successful 2021-22 campaign by securing another spot in the NLL Finals. But first, they'll have to traverse some challenging East Conference opponents before eventually hosting the 2022 NLL Champion Colorado Mammoth, which shouldn't bring up old memories, soured endings or anything, right? On the flip side, Bandits' goaltender Matt Vinc just captured the Mann Cup with Mammoth captain and defenseman Robert Hope, so maybe only a few scrappy bouts?

As the 2022-23 campaign quickly approaches, Mammoth fans can stay tuned to Coloradomammoth.com and Colorado Mammoth social channels for more updated on upcoming fall camps, theme nights, player signings and beyond as the team's training camp is scheduled to begin in early November.
