Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com today announced that it has added the Colorado Kings out of Denver, Colorado to this year's expansion teams. "We are very excited about adding a team in the Rocky Mountain area," stated Joe Newman. "Our goal is to create a complete Rocky Mountain Division shortly. For now, the Colorado Kings will be an at-large team competing with teams in the Southwest, South Central and California teams. And in Durrell Middleton, we have the perfect person to help develop the region."

Durrell is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and minority owner of TeleNet Communications. With nearly 13 years of experience in enterprise sales for the telecommunications industry, he is well-networked in the Colorado business community. A graduate of the University of Illinois with a BA in Psychology and a veteran of the US Army, he also atttended West Point Military Academy and played football and boxed. When he is not selling, you will find him on a Colorado reservoir boating with his family, serving as a Deacon and bass player at church, coaching minor league football for the Denver Titans or coaching the King's to the Parker Colorado Pro-Am Basketball Championship.

"We feel that we are ready to take a major step forward with our basketball team," stated Middleton. "And we believe the ABA is the perfect league to do it. While we know that travel will be a little difficult this season, we also know that very soon there will be several additional teams in the region and that will make things easier. We have a lot to do to get ready for the season, but we have met with great support thus far and are confident that we can make a great impact here. Having the ABA back in the Rockies is long overdue, but here we are. And we are going to be good."
