Colorado Crush News Release
DENVER - The Colorado Crush have re-signed quarterback JOHN DUTTON to a three-year deal, the team announced today.
"We are very pleased to have John re-signed and know that he will continue to be an intricate part of our organization," explained head coach Mike Dailey. "It is important for us to keep our core players together as we continue to re-sign our other free agents as well."
DUTTON (6-4, 225, Nevada) was the team's first-ever free agent signing back on November 2, 2002 and owns all Crush single-game, season and career passing records. He has started 77 of Colorado's 80 regular season games, including an AFL record tying 64 straight games since the 2004 season. He is also the only quarterback in AFL history to have led two different teams to ArenaBowl championships- San Jose in 2002 and Colorado in 2005. Dutton for his career has completed 1,992-of-3,192 passes for 23,644 yards for 469 touchdowns with 83 interceptions. This past season, he posted career highs in completions (396) and attempts (645).
The sixth seeded Colorado Crush head out for their second straight road playoff game when they travel to San Jose to face the top seeded SaberCats on Saturday, July 7th at 1:00 p.m. MT on Russell Athletic ESPN Arena Football.
