Colorado 14ers Weekly Update
LAST WEEK'S GAMES
January 5 vs. Austin Toros (Orem, UT) - The top two teams in the Southwest Division squared off at the NBA Development League Showcase in Orem, UT with the Toros holding off the 14ers 95-91. Austin outscored Colorado 30-24 in the final period to come from behind and take the win. Sonny Weems led the 14ers with 21 points in his final game before being re-called by the Denver Nuggets. Josh Davis added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.
January 8 at Anaheim Arsenal (Orem, UT) - Colorado evened its D-League Showcase record at 1-1 with a 118-112 win over Anaheim. Seven 14ers scored in double figures, led by a 23 point effort from Josh Davis. Joe Dabbert and Jamar Brown posted double-doubles in the victory.
January 10 at Austin Toros - The 14ers used a 33 point fourth quarter to secure their first win of the season over Southwest Division rival Austin. Joe Dabbert led the comeback effort with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks in a 107-101 victory. New Jersey Nets assigned player Sean Williams had his best game on assignment to date, posting 16 points, 16 rebounds, 6 assists, and 6 blocked shots.
January 11 at Austin Toros - The Toros rallied from a 19 point deficit and outscored the 14ers by 10 in the fourth quarter to force overtime before pulling away for a 124-113 win in the extra period. A 27 point effort from Josh Davis was not enough to hold off Malik Hairston's 43 point afternoon in the Austin comeback win.

While the official D-League statistics reflect the 14ers having 11 wins, Colorado's 104-102 win over the Utah Flash on Dec. 23 has been suspended pending a replay of the final 25.2 seconds of the fourth quarter due to a scoring error. The final seconds will be replayed on April 10 prior to the two teams meeting in Orem, UT.
The 14ers lead the D-League in scoring at 113.9 points per game.
Colorado also leads the D-League in per game averages for field goals made, field goals attempted, free throws attempted, 3-pointers attempted, offensive rebounds, rebounds, assists, and blocked shots.
Eddie Gill ranks third in the D-League with 7.7 assists per game.
Dominique Coleman is the D-League leader with 2.9 steals per game.
Before being traded by the Denver Nuggets to the Los Angeles Clippers last week, Cheikh Samb led the D-League with 3.8 blocks per game.
Joe Dabbert is sixth in the league with 1.6 blocks per game.
After visiting Rio Grande Valley on Wednesday, Colorado will have six days off before playing Albuquerque and Bakersfield at home next week.
