December 23 vs. Tulsa 66ers - Sonny Weems scored 25 points and Cheikh Samb added 15 with nine rebounds and three blocked as the two Denver Nuggets assigned players led Colorado to a win over Tulsa.

December 26 vs. Utah Flash- Eddie Gill knocked down the game winning jumper with 0.2 seconds remaining to give Colorado a 105-102 win over Utah. Josh Davis led the 14ers with 18 points and nine rebounds, and Dominique Coleman added 16 and 11 in the win.

December 28 at Tulsa 66ers- Colorado scored four points in final four seconds of regulation as Eddie Gill knocked down a jumper to force overtime with the 66ers. James Mays then scored eight of Colorado's 14 points in overtime give the 14ers an improbable 128-125 victory.

NEW JERSEY'S WILLIAMS ASSIGNED TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE COLORADO 14ERS

NEW YORK, Dec. 29, 2008 - New Jersey Nets forward Sean Williams was assigned to the Colorado 14ers, the Nets' NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced today. Williams is the 15th NBA player to be assigned to his NBA D-League affiliate this season and joins Sonny Weems and Cheikh Samb, both currently on assignment from the Denver Nuggets, on the 14ers roster.

Drafted by the Nets with the 17th overall selection in the 2007 NBA Draft, Williams has appeared in 16 games for New Jersey this season, averaging 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 11.1 minutes. Williams appeared in 73 games for the Nets last season, 29 as a starter, and averaged 5.6 points and 4.4 rebounds.

Williams, 6-10, was a three-year contributor at Boston College where he averaged 5.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in 69 career games. During his senior season, Williams averaged 12.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.0 blocks in 15 games.

Williams is expected to join the 14ers tomorrow and be available when the team hosts the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at the Broomfield Event Center. Tip off is set for 9 p.m. ET.

COLORADO 14ERS' JOSH DAVIS NAMED NBA D-LEAGUE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

NEW YORK, Dec. 29, 2008 - Josh Davis of the Colorado 14ers has been named the NBA D-League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Dec. 22, 2008. Davis is the second member of the 14ers to earn the honor this season, joining teammate James Mays who was named Performer of the Week on Dec. 15.

Davis led the 14ers to a 3-0 record this week, averaging 20.0 points and 8.0 rebounds while shooting .632 (24-of-38) from the field. His best game came on Sunday, when he scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a win over the Tulsa 66ers. For the season, the 6-8 forward is averaging 15.3 points and 6.8 rebounds in eight games. The 14ers are in second place in the Southwest Division with an 8-3 record.

An All-Mountain West player at Wyoming, Davis has appeared in a total of 52 NBA games with the Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns between 2003-2006.

Other top performers last week included Dakota's Blake Ahearn, who averaged 21.6 points and 7.3 assists in three games for the Wizards; Derrick Byars, who averaged 24.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in two games for the Bakersfield Jam; Albuquerque's Will Conroy, who averaged 26.5 points and 8.0 assists in two games for the Thunderbirds; Luke Jackson, who finished the week averaging 21.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists in two games for the Idaho Stampede; and Iowa's Courtney Sims, who averaged 25.0 points and 13.0 rebounds while leading the Energy to two wins last week.

NOTES

-The 14ers lead the D-League in scoring at 115.4 points per game.

-Colorado also leads the D-League in per game averages for field goals made, field goals attempted, free throws attempted, 3-pointers attempted, offensive rebounds, rebounds, and blocked shots.

-James Mays ranks ninth in the D-League in scoring at 19.8 points per game.

-Eddie Gill ranks fifth in the D-League with 7.4 assists per game.

-Dominique Coleman ranks second in the D-League with 3.1 steals per game.

-Jamar Brown ranks fifth and sixth in the D-League shooting 60% from the field.

-Cheikh Samb has blocked 29 shots in his eight games with 14ers. His 3.6 blocks per game leads in the D-League.
