
Colorado 14ers partner with YMCA to host free basketball clinics

DENVER - The Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League and the YMCA are partnering to conduct free basketball clinics for children entering first through 12th grades who are members of the YMCA, YWCA or are 14ers season ticket holders or family members.
The clinic, led by the Colorado 14ers coaching staff, will be held at the 14ers practice facility inside the Broomfield Event Center, on September 13 and 20 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. for first through fifth graders followed by sixth through 12th graders at 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
"We are very happy to be partnering with the âY' and all of our season ticket holder families in hosting basketball clinics and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle," said 14ers Head Coach Bob MacKinnon. "We are planning on running one or two a month throughout the 2008-09 season."
Pre-registration is not required. Future clinic dates throughout the 2008-09 season will be announced.

About the Broomfield Event Center: Located on the south side of U.S. Highway 36, between 112th and 120th Streets, the Broomfield Event Center is a state of the art 180,000 square foot multi-purpose event center with 6,000 seats, including 25 suites, 900 club seats, a sit-down restaurant, two themed bars and a separate basketball practice facility.
