Mississippi Surge News Release

Mississippi Surge Head Coach Jeff Bes sets the tone this off season by signing RW Anthony Collins to return for the 2013-2014 Southern Professional Hockey League season.

The 6-foot-3, 220 pound right winger played in a total of 35 regular season games for the Surge and an additional 2 playoff games last year.

"We're excited to have Anthony back this season, he brings good presence on the ice and has also become a fan favorite," said head coach Jeff Bes. "He managed to establish himself in his first season and I'm looking to his progression and watching all of his hard work pay off."

Collins has been training hard this off season and can't wait to hit the ice. "I'm just ready to get back to on the ice and make a serious run this year," he said. "South Mississippi has such a loyal fan base and I'm also ready for the great winter weather."
