
Coach Rik Richards Signs Three-Year Deal

Rockford, IL - The Rock River Raptors of the United Indoor Football league (UIF) would like to announce the re-signing of Head Coach & Director of Football Operations, Rik Richards, to a 3 year contract extension.
Coach Rik Richards started with the Rock River Raptors and their first year of football in Rockford during the 2006 season. Richards has brought a level of coaching to this first year franchise team that exceeded all expectations. During the 2006 season, Rockford saw a Central Division Championship and Rockford's first ever Indoor Football playoff game.
"After coming to Rockford and watching Coach Richards work with the players on and off the field, I have truly gained respect for his coaching abilities. Richards is a valuable asset to the organization and that is why we wanted to keep him here for as long as we can," quoted Tom Crow, General Manager of the Rock River Raptors. "I believe, together, Coach and I can put a product in the community and on the field that will be great for the Rock River Valley."
