He was also named the League's Player of the Week for the seven-day period ending December 7 and eclipsed several career accolades this season including 100 goals and 200 points.
The eight-year veteran began his professional indoor career with Cleveland Force in 2002 and also competed indoors with the Kansas City Comets (2003-2005), Chicago Storm (2005-2006), and Milwaukee Wave (2006-2008). Maher also played professionally outdoors with the Wilmington Hammerheads (USL-2), Syracuse Salty Dogs (USL-1), and Carolina Railhawks (USL-1).

He is also the institution's all-time leading goal scorer.
The South Jersey Soccer Hall of Fame inducted its first class in 1988 and a member can be an official, player, coach, or contributor. The selection criteria as a player include a minimum of two-years of varsity level in South Jersey, a member of League's all-star team, and positive representation of the game. Other factors considered are captain recognition, awards, college involvement and successes, and club soccer participation.
