Cleveland City Stars News Release

The Cleveland City Stars suffered a disappointing loss at the hands of Real Maryland Saturday night after jumping out to an early 2-0 lead.

The City Stars continued right where they left of during last week's victory when Luke Williams scored in the 6th minute. Quickly adding to the lead was Floyd Franks who found the back of the net in the 17th minute.

The game turned from that point as the City Stars gave up three unanswered goals, including two from Dennis Alas, to drop a 3-2 decision. Just before halftime, Jeremy Tolleson was injured from an elbow to the face. Tolleson was taken to the hospital with injuries to the mouth, including broken and lost teeth.

The City Stars return home next Saturday May 24th for a 7pm contest with the rival Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
