Penn FC News Release
After a weekend off, the Harrisburg City Islanders return to action this Saturday, July 10, when the South Jersey Barons of the Premier Development League visit Skyline Sports Complex. Kickoff is 7:35 p.m.
The Barons carry an undefeated record of 12-0-2 (38 points) into the week. South Jersey has outscored its opponents 42-11 in regular season play thus far; the team's only loss this year came in the second round of U.S. Open Cup competition with a 4-2 defeat at the hands of the A-League's Syracuse Salty Dogs. Of note, that match was a replay: the original contest was called in the 75th minute due to lightning, with the score tied at 1-1.
Following Saturday's match, Harrisburg heads to Long Island on Saturday, July 17, to complete their season series with the Rough Riders before hosting the Westchester Flames on Friday, July 23, and the Western Mass Pioneers on Sunday, July 25. The latter game was rescheduled from Saturday, June 5, when heavy rains led to unplayable field conditions at Skyline.
