City Islanders Relaunch Offical Team App

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania - The City Islanders have announced today that alongside H2H Mobile they will be relaunching their official team app. The app will now provide fans straight to your phone notifications about breaking news and events, while also giving live match day updates. Additionally, it will allow consumers to be one step closer to the team with features such as live streaming of matches, fan interaction pages, fan photo pages and much more.
"The smartphone has changed the way we all communicate," said City Islanders Club President Roy Mehl. "To keep up with the need for information right at our fingertips, we have created an app that allows our fans to support our team by receiving the updates they want straight to wherever they are."
The City Islanders have been a professional soccer team in the United Soccer League since 2004. The mobile app gives the team an opportunity to promote the team and upcoming events, along with specials on merchandise and tickets. This season the club has hosted matches in both Harrisburg and Lancaster and believe that the app will be a way to grow the fan base in two different locations.
In an effort to encourage app downloads, the City Islanders will be offering flash sales of tickets and merchandise. Their first deal will offer discounted tickets to their next two matches where fans can save $5 on adult and youth tickets. This discount will be available only until Friday, June 17th. These specials and many more throughout the season can only be found and redeemed through the app.
