July 6, 2005 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Penn FC News Release
(Harrisburg, Pa., July 6, 2005) - Harrisburg City Islanders midfielders Adam Clay and Steve Fisher have both been named to the USL Second Division Team of the Week for Week 11, the league announced on Tuesday. Both played key roles in Harrisburg's 1-1 tie in Pittsburgh on Friday, July 1.
Clay, 22, earned his second Team of the Week honor of the season with a sturdy performance against the Riverhounds. The Bloomsburg product started in place of the injured Mo Oduor and went the full 90 minutes.
Fisher scored Harrisburg's only goal - his second of the season - in the 49th minute when he converted a Matt Tanzini feed. The 23-year-old, who was the team's second leading scorer in 2004, is on his first Team of the Week this year.
The City Islanders (6-3-3, 21 points) have now placed 12 different players on the Team of the Week this season. Three City Islanders (Bryan Hill, Crawford, and Matt Tanzini) have been Player of the Week.
Harrisburg returns to action this Saturday, July 9, when the Wilmington Hammerheads visit Skyline Sports Complex for a 7:05 kickoff.
