Cincinnati Awaits Vancouver's Visit
July 25, 2003 - A-League (A-League)
Cincinnati Riverhawks News Release
(Cincinnati, OH) â The Cincinnati Riverhawks (8-12-0, 24 points) will host the Vancouver Whitecaps (9-6-4, 31 points) Sunday, July 27 at the Town and Country Sports Complex.
The addition of midfielder Eduard Loewen and the length of Vancouver's road trip could be the two advantages that help Cincinnati pick up a win and keep their play-off hopes alive. Loewen is the assistant coach of the women's soccer team at the University of Akron and formerly played with Rochdale in England.
Vancouver will play in Indiana the night before the game, while Cincinnati last played on Wednesday. Alan Eller is suspended for the Riverhawks, while Jeremie Piette returns to Town & Country in what would only be his third appearance for the Whitecaps.
Kick-off for Sunday's game is 6:05 p.m.
