CIFL Offensive Player of the Week

Chris Thompson, Chesapeake Tide

The longtime indoor veteran from Bloomsburg University had another big night throwing the ball to lead the Chesapeake Tide to a second-straight victory.

Thompson went 17-of-33 for 274 yards and six touchdowns through the air to guide his team to a 41-15 victory over the New York/New Jersey Revolution.

The Tide have now won two-straight games and are 3-3 on the year. They are currently tied with Lehigh Valley for fourth-place in the Atlantic Division standings.

CIFL Defensive Player of the Week

Chris Respress, Miami Valley Silverbacks

Despite his team losing, the Defiance College product produced in a big way on the defensive side of the ball.

He totaled nine tackles in the game (eight solo) and had one tackle for loss. He also forced a fumble, had two interceptions and had two pass breakups. Both of his interceptions came in the critical fourth quarter.

The Silverbacks lost 40-37 to Kalamazoo, falling to 2-5 on the year. They are currently tied for fifth with Muskegon in the Great Lakes Division standings.

CIFL Special Teams Player of the Week

Mark Sedlock, New York/New Jersey Revolution

The first-year Revolution kicker accounted for more than half of New York/New Jersey's points in a loss to the Chesapeake Tide.

Sedlock connected on three field goals on the night, totaling nine of the Revolution's 15 points. He accounted for nine-straight points during a ten-plus minute stretch during the second and third quarters.

The Revolution fell 41-15 to Chesapeake and currently sit at 1-6 on the year. They gained the organization's first victory two weeks ago against Summit County.
