CHRIS TOTH NAMED MASL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Published on November 27, 2017 under Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) News Release

KANSAS CITY - The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced that Chris Toth of the San Diego Sockers has been named the Week Four Player of the Week. This is the first Player of the Week award for Toth and the first San Diego Sockers player to win the award this season.

The San Diego Sockers are one of only three teams remaining undefeated with a 4-0 record. Toth has two of those wins for the Sockers, including last Sunday night against the Ontario Fury. The Sockers veteran goalkeeper saved all 16 shots he faced, recording the first shutout for any goalkeeper this season and the first of his storied career.

The Sockers are off this weekend, but they return to action on December 1st when they travel to the Pacific Northwest to face their division rivals, the Tacoma Stars. The team will return home two days later for a rematch of last year's Western Division Finals against Soles de Sonora.

Fans can watch Toth and the Sockers, along with every team in the MASL, play each week on MASLtv.
