American Defenders of New Hampshire News Release
Nashua Pride Owner John Stabile has announced that after conducting a thorough search, Vice President of Baseball Operations Chris Hall has been named the new General Manager and VP of Baseball Operations of the Nashua Pride.
"Chris Hall played an integral role in fielding a championship team for the Pride last season, all the while contributing to the Pride's off-the-field efforts to raise the organization's profile within the Nashua community. Through this experience, Chris has garnered a unique, working knowledge as to what is required to keep professional baseball alive and well in Nashua for years to come," said team owner, John Stabile.
Hall joined the Pride Front Office in 2006 as the Vice President of Baseball Operations. While he conducted corporate sales and spearheaded community relations, he most notably worked hand in hand with manager Butch Hobson assembling Pride player personnel. After the Pride experienced some growing pains in making the leap from the Atlantic League to the Can-Am League in 2006, Hall identified and signed a number of players that went on to attain cult-like status amongst Pride fans and were instrumental in Nashua's 2007 championship run; Can-Am league MVP: Olmo Rosario, Rich 'El Guapo' Garces, Akira Okamoto & Hideki Nagasaka.
Prior to joining the Pride, Hall spent eight years working for the Chief Justice of Administration & Management, managing telecommunication systems for the State of Massachusetts court system. The Brockton native is a member of the Nashua Rotary Club and also sits on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua.
"Each summer, professional baseball has been a fixture at Holman Stadium. We've made some great strides in revitalizing the product on and off the field these past two seasons and I hope to make 2008 the turning point at which the community re-embraces the Pride, making it a viable business operation in the process," said Chris Hall.
Having played baseball (catcher) and graduated from Brandeis University, Hall maintained his love for the game cultivating talent as a player's agent, representing a number of baseball players, many of who went on to play in affiliated baseball. In addition, Hall coached and ran a number of local Stan Musial, Legion and AAU teams. Chris Hall currently resides in Chelmsford, MA with his wife and two children.
The Nashua Pride Professional Baseball Club, entering its eleventh season, provides a fun, affordable, community-based and fan-friendly source of sports entertainment. The 2007 Can-Am League Champions will be participating in its third year of play in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball.
