CHL Unveils New Logo

Published on May 25, 2006 under Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release

The Central Hockey League has today unveiled a new primary logo. Created by the Joe Bosack Graphic Design Company out of Pipersville, Pennsylvania, the new image features bold lettering atop a stylized puck along with a black, steel blue and grey color scheme. In conjunction with the new logo release, the Central Hockey League website, at www.centralhockeyleague.com, has been revised to match the new official CHL colors.

"Although the previous logo has served us well for a number of seasons, we felt it appropriate to begin preparations for our 15th season of play with a fresh and updated look," said CHL President Brad Treliving. "We are very pleased with the efforts of Joe Bosack and his staff in creating our new mark."

The Central Hockey League is currently preparing for its annual Spring Conference, beginning on Thursday, June 1st with a Keynote Presentation by author Jon Spoelstra followed by welcome reception. Governors' and departmental breakout meetings and group sessions will take place both Friday and Saturday, culminating with the CHL Awards Banquet on Saturday evening, during which a 15th Anniversary CHL logo will be unveiled. The 2006 Spring Conference is presented by industry leader Daktronics, who designs, manufactures, sells and services dynamic visual communication systems for customers worldwide.

Operational issues, including 2006-2007 CHL alignment and playoff format, will be determined during the Spring Conference, and the Arizona Sundogs and Rocky Mountain Rage will participate in the CHL Expansion Draft on Saturday afternoon. Friday's agenda includes a 2007 CHL All-Star Breakfast, presented by the All-Star host Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, the annual CHL Golf Tournament in the afternoon, and a Casino Night / Texas Hold 'Em Tournament in the evening, with all proceeds generated donated to the Hoffen Foundation for distribution to children's charities throughout CHL markets.

The CHL will begin celebration of its 15th season of play on October 20th, 2006, welcoming three clubs joining the League in new state-of-the-art arenas for the 2006-2007 season. The expansion Arizona Sundogs (Prescott Valley Convention & Events Center) and Rocky Mountain Rage (Broomfield Event Center) will open new facilities this fall along with the New Mexico Scorpions, returning from a one year hiatus in conjunction with the opening of the Rio Rancho Events Center. The CHL has led all of 'AA' professional hockey in average attendance for the past five consecutive seasons of play.
