CHL Announces Staff Change

(Tempe, Arizona) - Central Hockey League Commissioner Duane Lewis announced today that Bob Hoffman has been elevated to the league's Director of Operations (Team/P.R.). Hoffman will jump into his new role immediately in preparation for the CHL's 18th season beginning this fall.

Hoffman is entering his third year with the CHL serving as the league's Director of Communications previously. His increased duties will include overseeing the day-to-day team operations of the league's 15 member clubs as well as maintaining his current role as the league's top communications executive.

"Bob has been a great asset to the League Office these past two seasons, as well as working with many teams over the years, and we are proud and excited to increase his role within the CHL," said Lewis. "His vast experiences in all aspects of our business make for a perfect transition in to these new responsibilities to assist our member teams."

The Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio native started working with the league office in August of 2007 after working as the Assistant General Manager with the Youngstown SteelHounds (then a member of the CHL). Hoffman has also worked with both the Utah Grizzlies and Louisville Panthers of the American Hockey League.

The CHL saw close to two million fans attend games during the 2008-09 season and has led North American professional ‘AA' hockey leagues in average attendance in six of the past eight seasons.
