CHL Announces 2011 Preseason Schedule

TEMPE, AZ (August 24, 2011) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today its 2011 preseason schedule, which consists of 14 games beginning on Friday, October 14 and concludes on Tuesday, October 18.

With geography a prime component of this season's match-ups, there are several rivalries that will get a jump-start on the regular season which begins on Friday, October 21. Some of the bigger rivalries going at it in the preseason are Wichita/Tulsa, Allen/Texas, Rio Grande Valley/Laredo and Fort Wayne/Dayton.

Another interesting feature on the slate is a doubleheader in Quad City on Saturday, October 15 that starts with the host Mallards playing Evansville followed by Bloomington and Missouri.

The preseason schedule will conclude with back-to-back games at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Arena when the host Rapid City Rush (2010 CHL Champions) play the Arizona Sundogs (2008 CHL Champions) on both Monday, October 17 and Tuesday, October 18.
