CHL 2010-11 Schedule to be Released Friday

July 22, 2010 - Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release


(Tempe, Arizona) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that the 2010-11 regular season schedule will be released on Friday, July 23. The 594-game schedule begins on Friday, October 15 with six games and concludes on Sunday, March 27 with four games.

The CHL will be made up of 18 teams during the 2010-11 season with teams divided into two conferences (North and South). The CHL welcomes five new teams into the league as on June 1 the CHL and the International Hockey League (IHL) signed an agreement to compete together in one league, the CHL.

The Northern Conference, soon to be named for a historical figure representing the IHL/CHL, consists of the Bloomington PrairieThunder, Colorado Eagles, Dayton Gems, Evansville IceMen, Fort Wayne Komets, Missouri Mavericks, Quad City Mallards, Rapid City Rush and the Wichita Thunder.

The Southern Conference, also soon to be named for a historical figure representing the IHL/CHL, will be made up of the Allen Americans, Arizona Sundogs, Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, Laredo Bucks, Mississippi RiverKings, Odessa Jackalopes, Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, Texas Brahmas and Tulsa Oilers.
