
Chivas USA Forward Juan Agudelo Voted MLS Player of the Week

NEW YORK (Monday, March 25, 2013) - Chivas USA forward Juan Agudelo was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for week 4 of the 2013 MLS season.
Juan Agudelo helped Chivas USA achieve its first road win in eight months with a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over the Chicago Fire.
The deadlock was broken in the 57th minute when Agudelo sent a perfect pass to Edgar Mejia outside the box who placed a rocket past Chicago goalkeeper, Paolo Tornaghi .
In the 75th minute, Jorge Villafana picked out Agudelo on the break and Agudelo curled a shot toward goal which ricocheted off the far post and into the back of the net .
With the decisive victory, Chivas USA are now tied for second in the Western Conference. Next up, Chivas USA will host the Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday, March 30 at 10:30 p.m. ET.
