Chill Main Camp Set for July 24-27

(La Crosse, Wisconsin) The 2014-15 Coulee Region Chill roster is slated to take shape next week during a four-day tryout camp at Green Island Ice Arena.

The main camp is July 24-27. Chill coach A.J. Degenhardt expects 170 skaters and goaltenders to open camp. Goaltender camp is set for July 22-24, with selected goalies advancing to the full team sessions.

The Chill prospects will be divided into teams and play a total of 20 games, including camp all-star games on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Nine returning players are expected to compete in the main camp, including forwards Adam Lovick, Eddie Matsushima, and Blake Kelley, who combined for 38 goals last season, and goaltender Adam Carlson, who won 13 games with a 2.67 GAA and .919 save percentage.

Nine of the team's 2014 draft picks also compete for roster spots.

West Salem High School graduate Taylor Trapp, who has signed a tender offer with the La Crosse Freeze (NA3HL) has been invited to the Chill main camp. Trapp scored 33 goals in 27 games this past season for West Salem and has been a member of the Junior Chill AAA program.
