Chicago Shamrox Trade Kruger And Lazore To Buffalo Bandits

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL February 4, 2008 - The Chicago Shamrox indoor lacrosse team announced today that they have traded forwards Rusty Kruger and Andrew Lazore to the Buffalo Bandits for two second round drafts picks in the 2008 Entry Draft.
By trading away Kruger and Lazore, the Shamrox open up spots on the roster for defenseman Mike Hobbins and forward Cody Jacobs. Jacobs is coming off a remarkable rookie season with the Shamrox scoring 14 goals, 8 assists and scooping up 19 loose balls. Hobbins on the other hand, has caught the eye of the Shamrox coaching staff during the off-season while playing for the Peterborough Lakers of the Major Series Lacrosse League (MSL), where Coach Batley is the head coach of the Lakers.
"We had an abundance of left and right offensive players," said Head Coach and General Manager Jamie Batley. "Getting these two draft picks for next year will help our team out."
Kruger, who was acquired by the Shamrox on March 20, 2007 from the Toronto Rock, played a total of ten games during the 2007 season, five of which were with the Shamrox. During his time with the Shamrox, Kruger scored four goals, five assists and 23 loose balls. Kruger has yet to make an appearance for the Shamrox during the 2008 season.
Lazore was acquired by the Shamrox during the 2007 dispersal draft. Selected in the 3rd round, 28th overall, the forward played two seasons with the Arizona Sting playing in four games and scoring four goals and three assists. Since joining the Shamrox during the off-season, Lazore has played in two games and managed to rack up one assist and three loose balls.
