Chicago Rush to Honor Kids and Fans at Fan Appreciation Night Saturday
July 12, 2010 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Chicago Rush News Release
After knocking off the Arizona Rattlers 55-50 Saturday night to secure its ninth-consecutive playoff berth, the Chicago Rush announced today its final regular season home game against Dallas this Saturday, July 17, will be "Fan Appreciation Night" at Allstate Arena.
As part of the evening's events, any adult who purchases a regularly priced ticket for as low as $10 to the game will be allowed to bring up to three kids - ages 15 or younger - in with them for free.
"We think this is a great way to thank our fans for their tremendous support this season," said Rush president/GM Ken Valdiserri. "I would love to take credit for the idea myself, but it came from one of our captains, DeJuan Alfonzo, who felt it was important in our first year back after the league's 2009 hiatus to do something special for all the kids.
"As an organization, we moved quickly to make DeJuan's suggestion a reality. We hope parents, whose children love the Rush or have never experienced a Chicago Rush game or Arena Football, will take advantage of this opportunity to have a fun night for a tremendous value."
Fans who take advantage of this offer will receive up to three free tickets for kids, ages 15 years and under, with one paying adult ticket. Tickets can be secured through the Allstate Arena box office. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and beginning at noon on Saturday.
In addition to the free tickets for kids, the Rush also will be giving away prizes throughout the evening, and has been the case all year long, Rush players and Adrenaline Rush dancers will conduct a free autograph session immediately following the game.
The Rush (10-4) concludes the home portion of its regular season schedule this Saturday when it hosts the Dallas Vigilantes at Allstate Arena. Good seats remain available and fans wishing to purchase tickets should call Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or visit the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets - which range in price from $10 to $60 - also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
