Chicago Riot News Release
CHICAGO (Nov. 17, 2010) -- Chicago soccer fans have their first opportunity to get a peek at Chicago's newest professional soccer team, the Major Indoor Soccer League's Chicago Riot, at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, for an exhibition game against local adult soccer giant Costa Guerrero of the Hispano League at the Odeum Sports and Expo Center in Villa Park. The game is preceded by a pick-your-seat event for Chicago Riot season ticket holders that will allow fans to select their specific seat.
The exhibition game is open to the public and includes free parking and free entry to the game. Riot season tickets range from $72 to $199 and parking is free for the full 2010-2011 season. Fans can reserve their season tickets in advance of the event by calling 630-708-6284. More information is available at www.ChicagoRiotSoccer.com .
Head coach Jeff Kraft is looking forward to testing his squad against Costa Guerrero, coached by local soccer legend Tony Dallas. Dallas' squad had its 106-game winning streak snapped this past season but still won its outdoor league championship for the third consecutive year.
"I am sure it is going to be a battle," Kraft said. "He always has a great team and knows what it takes to get the best from his players. I am preparing the guys as if it was a regular MISL game. I am expecting a blue-collar mentality from our guys."
"We are looking to represent ourselves well and to help the Riot prepare for Milwaukee," Dallas said. "We expect to give them a good game, and the soccer ball is still round so you never know what is going to happen."
The Riot debuts in Baltimore against the Blast at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The match can be viewed on the Riot web site, www.ChicagoRiotSoccer.com. Spanish language web radio will be available at www.lamaquinaroja.com.
