
Chicago, Philadelphia Can Clinch Playoff Spots This Week

NEW YORK - The Chicago Rush (8-2) and Philadelphia Soul (9-1) can become the first two teams to claim 2008 playoff berths as the Mitsubishi Motors Drive to ArenaBowl XXII New Orleans kicks into high gear for Week 11.
A Soul victory, coupled with a Tampa Bay Storm loss to the New Orleans VooDoo on Friday, May 9, will give Philadelphia its third consecutive playoff berth.
The Soul travel to The Arena at Gwinnett Center to face the Georgia Force (4-5) on Russell Athletic ESPN Arena Football Monday, May 12 at 8 p.m. ET (ESPN2 HD and ESPN360.com).
Chicago can clinch a playoff berth while on its bye week if one of five American Conference teams lose.
Following is each team's postseason-clinching scenario for Week 11:
The CHICAGO RUSH clinch an American Conference playoff berth with any of the following scenarios:
1. Kansas City Brigade loss or
2. Colorado Crush loss or
3. Grand Rapids Rampage loss or
4. Arizona Rattlers loss or
5. Los Angeles Avengers loss or
The PHILADELPHIA SOUL clinch a National Conference playoff berth with the following scenario:
1. Philadelphia Soul win + Tampa Bay Storm loss
