CHICAGO-Shellie Robinson and Alexa Peterson both hit home runs but it wasn't enough for the Cleveland Comets to avoid a sweep at Chicago as the Bandits collected six extra base hits on the way to a 12-5 win on Sunday at the Ballpark at Rosemont.

The Bandits used a pair of walks and two singles to score two runs off Cleveland rookie Devin Brown in the top of the first. Jiang Xinyue drew a leadoff walk in the top of the third and scored on Robinson's opposite field homer, the first four-bag hit in Cleveland Comets history.

An error and a walk led to another Bandits run in the bottom of the fourth.

Ping Fan relieved Brown in the fifth and the Bandits scored six runs, all with two outs in the inning, to take control of the game. Natalie Hernandez and Kristyn Sandberg both hit home runs in the rally.

Peterson, who finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a solo homer in the seventh, singled to lead off the Cleveland sixth. Jade Rhodes then reached on an error and Sun Xun singled home Peterson and Sun Xun later scored on a passed ball to cut Chicago's lead to 9-4.

The Bandits responded by scoring three runs on three singles, a double and a triple in the bottom half of the inning.
