Washington, PA-An outstanding offensive performance from Chicago Bandits outfielder Megan Wiggins lifted the visiting Chicago Bandits to a 5-3 victory over the Pennsylvania Rebellion, presented by The Coury Financial Group, in a 5-3 ballgame Thursday at CONSOL Energy Park.

Wiggins, a three-year professional softball player from the University of Georgia, collected three RBI's and smacked a solo home run in Chicago's eighth victory on the season.

The Bandits were the first on the scoreboard in the top of the second as Kristen Butler hit a solo bomb to put Chicago in front 1-0. Chicago added on three more scores in the next inning when Wiggins hit a three run homer to put the Bandits ahead 4-0.

Pennsylvania's Brittney Lindley answered with her first home run of the season, and the first home run by a Rebellion Player at CONSOL Energy Park in the bottom of the third to make the score 4-1.

First baseman Briana Hamilton and center fielder Samantha Garcia both struck in the sixth inning as the Rebellion attempted to rally for the second time in as many nights as the pair both picked up RBI singles to make it a 5-3 contest.

Dallas Escobedo got the loss in the circle for Pennsylvania, while teammate Angel Bunner allowed one run on two hits and four strikeouts in relief. Bandits' pitcher Sara Moulton earned the win.

The Rebellion returns to play Saturday, June 28 at 7:05 p.m. as they take on the Akron Racers at Firestone Stadium in a four-game series.
