Mahoning Valley Thunder News Release
BOARDMAN, Ohio - The Mahoning Valley Thunder is pleased to announce that Storm Chasers Choreographer Chelsea Howe has earned a spot on the NBA's Detroit Pistons Dance Team, Automotion.
Howe was named the Storm Chasers Coordinator on July 17, 2006. During her season with Storm Chasers, Howe was active in a variety of community events, public appearances and Thunder events.
Prior to joining the Thunder, Howe spent the 2005-06 NBA season dancing with the Seattle Sonics Dance Team. As a member of the Dance Team, she performed at over 40 home games in front of 17,000 people, attended charity and promotional events, and had the opportunity to work closely with some of the most innovative choreographers of our time. She was also featured as Ms. May in the Sonics Swimsuit Calendar.
"We would like to thank Chelsea for her hard work and magnificent job she did with the Storm Chasers this season," said Ron Armour, Thunder Director of Operations and Marketing. "We wish her nothing but good luck and success in the future."
The Thunder has not yet named a replacement for Howe. A search for a new coordinator will take place over the next few weeks.
