Charlotte N.C. - The Charlotte Eagles return home tomorrow Monday July 14th to take on the Sacramento Republic FC. This will be the first meeting between the two teams in USL PRO history as it is Sacramento's first season as a USL PRO franchise.
In the Eagles last game they traveled to Charleston to face long time rivals Charleston Battery. In the game Saturday night the two teams played to a 0-0 draw, giving both teams one point in USL PRO standings. Charlotte goalkeeper Brock Duckworth stopped every shot he faced tonight recording his third shutout of the season. The Eagles currently lead the Battery by one point in the standings.
Sacramento's last game resulted in a 2-1 loss to the Richmond Kickers (who are currently second in USL PRO standings). Sacramento's sole goal came from Adam Jahn bringing his total to three goals in the season with the club so far. Sacramento currently sits at 4th place in USL PRO standings with a total of 29 points.
Appalachian State product Harrison Delbridge has started 13 games for Sacramento registering one assist.
The Eagles and Republic have never met in USL PRO history, as this is Sacramento's first season as a franchise, this match is the only time that the two teams will meet in the regular 2014 season.
