Charleston Battery To Offer Two Sets Of Player Trials

Charleston SC. The Charleston Battery has set dates for two sets of player trials. The first session is scheduled for January 22 - 23, 2010, a second trial will be held on February 12 - 13, 2010. This will be the eighth year that the Battery has held player trials. The Battery has consistently used its trials as a source for identifying new players and in recent years has signed numerous players from trials including - Tsuyoshi Yoshitake, Patrick Tate, Aaron King, Mike Richardson, Louie Rolko, David Kenga and Dominic Cianciarulo.

Players attending the trials will be assessed by the Charleston Battery coaching staff as well as several other professional soccer teams and other USL teams. Players will be assessed during training games played at Blackbaud Stadium and the Charleston Battery Practice Facility.

Registration

Players interested in applying for the trials should complete the online registration available at www.charlestonbattery.com. The cost for each trial camp is $150 and includes dinner on Friday night in the Three Lions Club.

Battery to host Holiday Camp

The Charleston Battery will host a holiday soccer camp December 28th - 30th at the Battery's new Battery practice facility inside Blackbaud Stadium. The camp is designed for boys and girls ages 7 - 14 to help develop the fundamental techniques of soccer in a fun learning environment.

Completed in March 2009 the Battery's new practice pitch is located within the Blackbaud Stadium complex. Full day campers will receive lunch daily.
