Channel 11 to Broadcast Legends Home Games

Canton Legends News Release
Canton â Canton City Schools Television, Channel 11, and the Broadcast Media Classes of Timken Senior High School have announced an agreement with The Canton Legends of the Atlantic Indoor Football League to broadcast the Legends regular season home games from the Canton Memorial Civic Center.
The school's cable access channel will also present a one half-hour television program entitled Stark Sports Legends which will be hosted by The Legends head coach Jay Brophy and Tim Haverstock, host of CCSTV's Stark Sports Central. The show will include interviews of players by student reporters and game highlights edited by the student production staff. The Legends Home Games and the Coach's show will be taped by the students at the Civic Center and in the Timken H.S. studios and then replayed during the week on Time Warner Cable's channel 11.
Andrew G. Haines, team owner, relates that "We felt strongly about working with Canton's student sports broadcasting professionals of tomorrow and the Canton City Schools Broadcasting program teacher, Mrs. Jaclyn Power. We wanted to connect with the City and the Schools by giving these students exposure to a professional sports team with the staff at Canton City Schools Television."
Mrs. Jaclyn Power, the broadcasting program teacher stated that "Our program here at Channel 11 is really about the students learning how to produce and market visual media, and what better way to expose the students to the marketplace than through working with a professional sports team such as the Legends and the Atlantic Indoor Football League. We have a great group of students who are really excited about working with the team to write, shoot and edit the coach's show and the games. We are all hoping that our viewing community in the City will become as excited about our new professional team in town as the kids are, and really turn out to watch our show Stark Sports Legends in addition to replays of the home games."
CCSTV Channel 11 in the Canton Market will air the replays of the Legends home games at the following times:
GameDay Saturdays â 11:00 pm
Sundays - 1:00 pm
Mondays - 9:00 pm
Stark Sports Legends the one half-hour coach's show will be taped on Tuesdays and air at the following times:
Tuesday Night - 7:30 pm
Wednesday - 9:30 pm
Friday - 7:00 am, 1:00 pm, 5:00 pm & 9:30 pm
Saturday - 12:00 pm & 10:00 pm
Sunday - 12:00 pm
