Changes Made To Stealth 2005 Season Schedule

SAN JOSE - The San Jose Stealth 2005 National Lacrosse League regular season schedule was revised today after the Vancouver Ravens recently suspended operations for the season.
Both games scheduled with Vancouver in the original schedule (Jan. 8 and Feb. 26) have been removed. The home opener remains on Jan. 8, but will be played against Calgary. One game has been added on Jan. 21 ( to replace a later game vs. Vancouver) and will be played at Arizona. The following night, instead of playing Arizona at HP Pavilion at San Jose, the Stealth will play Minnesota.
Jim Moss, Cam Woods and the rest of the Stealth will play their first regular-season game, Jan. 7, on the road against Tracey Kelusky and the defending NLL Champion Calgary Roughnecks at the Penngrowth Saddledome. The next night (Jan. 8), the Stealth will have a rematch with Calgary for their home opener at HP Pavilion.
The eight home schedule features all weekend contests (two Friday, six Saturday), each with a 7:30 p.m. start time. The Stealth will play against members of the five-team Western Division (Anaheim-twice, Arizona-three times, Calgary-four times, Colorado-three times) in addition to playing four games against Eastern Division teams (Philadelphia, Rochester, Buffalo and Minnesota).
The road schedule also features mostly weekend games (one Thursday, four Friday, two Saturday, one Sunday).
The NLL regular season begins on Jan. 1 and concludes on April 17, with the Champion's Cup Playoffs to follow. The 2005 NLL All-Star Game will be played in Calgary on Feb. 27.
