Satuday, April 19th at 7:35 pm the Danbury Whalers and Dayton Demonz face off in a Game 5 at the Danbury Ice Arena.
The 5th Game is the deciding contest in a best of 5 series. Each team has won two games on their home ice.
This is the first time the Federal Hockey League has extended the season to a winner take all final game. In the three previous Finals series it has been a 3-0 sweep except for the first season when Akwesasne defeated Brooklyn 3 games to 1.
In their history, the Danbury Whalers are 5-5 in Finals games. They are 3-1 in Finals games in Danbury and are 3-0 in Finals games vs. Dayton in Danbury.
Overall in the playoffs in their 4-year history the Whalers are 13-9. They own an 8-3 record at the DIA. Two of those wins are in OT, one of the losses in OT.
