
CFL Fans fill Frank Clair Stadium for 92nd Grey Cup

Ottawa, Ontario â The Grey Cup 2004 Organizing Committee announced today that this year's Grey Cup is sold out. On November 21st, 51,242 CFL fans will descend on Ottawa to Frank Clair stadium for the 92nd Grey Cup Championship featuring the West meets East match-up between the BC Lions and the Toronto Argonauts. To accommodate the demand on Sunday, more than 20,000 seats in temporary grandstands have been added to Frank Clair stadium, which during the regular season has a capacity of 27,695.
"This year's Grey Cup celebration is already in full force in the Nation's Capital," said Brad Watters, President of the Ottawa Renegades and Grey Cup 2004. "We are excited to see the thousands of fans already taking part in the festival events here in Ottawa and look forward to a packed Frank Clair stadium this Sunday in anticipation of the Canada's championship game, the Grey Cup."
Ottawa last hosted a Grey Cup in 1988, where the Winnipeg Blue Bombers beat the BC Lions 22-21 in front of 50,604.
