Jackson banged out 15 hits and used a solid afternoon from CF Nick Sorensen to cruise to a 14-7 victory over Pensacola. Sorensen went 4-for-5 with four runs scored, a home run and three RBI, while RF Jake Dickinson was 3-for-4 with two triples. Down 2-1 in the second, Jackson scored in six of the next seven innings for the win, including three runs in the third, fourth and seventh frames. SS Carlos Mendoza went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored for Pensacola.

FORT WORTH 10, SHREVEPORT 5 @ Shreveport, La. Time: 2:49 ATT: 871 W: Logan Stout (3-3) L: Eric Wikstrom (2-4) S: None HR: FW - Bryon Smith (4) SHR - Coby Smith (2), Chad Gambill (9)

Everybody hit for the Cats, who pounded out 17 to score ten runs and earn their second straight victory in Shreveport. CF Carlos Adolfo had a perfect 3-for-3 night, scoring three times, while LF Tony Mota and 1B Bryon Smith both had a pair of hits and a pair of RBIs. CF Coby Smith, DH Chad Gambill and C Jason Torres all had three-hit nights for Shreveport, who tied the game at three in the fourth only to see Fort Worth put up four runs in the fifth to pull away. Cat starter Logan Stout went five innings, allowing five runs, and the Fort Worth bullpen was strong, contributing four scoreless innings to the winning effort. Shreveport's Eric Wikstrom, after allowing no runs in his last start, gave up seven in four innings of work tonight.

SAN ANGELO 6, EL PASO 5 @ El Paso, Texas. Time: 2:47 ATT: 2,142 W: Jed Jensen (1-0) L: Travis Teeter (0-2) S: Justin Craker (12) HR: EP - Ben Rosenthal Down 2-0 after four, San Angelo quickly put up six runs over the next two innings and held off a seventh-inning Diablos rally for the 6-5 victory, avenging the one-run loss to El Paso in the series' first game. 1B Jorge Alvarez and SS Marc Mirizzi drove in two each for the Colts, while CF Tyrone Pendergrass and LF Ben Rosenthal did the same for El Paso. Jed Jensen picked up the win, allowing four runs in six innings, while Travis Teeter gave up three in his 4.2 innings of work for the loss.
