
Central League Hires 10 Umpires

DURHAM, N.C. â Central League umpire supervisor Kevin Winn hired a total of 10 umpires for five traveling crews today.
The league uses three-man crews made up of two-man traveling teams and area umpires with both collegiate and professional experience.
Winn worked opening day of the Dutch Major League last weekend and will return to the United States this week.
The 96-game regular-season Central League schedule begins May 7.
Crews chiefs are listed first.
Crew 1: John Williams, Round Rock, Texas (returnee) Matt Brock, Shell Beach, Calif.
Crew 2: Roberto Augustin, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. (returnee) Jimmy Buckner, Cottontown, Tenn.
Crew 3: Brian Abraham, Wapwallopen, Pa. Brian Page, Houston, Texas
Crew 4: John Scott, Sattelite Beach, Fla. Thomas Walkoviak, Navasota, Texas
Crew 5: Steve Linton, Bay City, Mich. (returnee) Mike Jarboe, La Crescenta, Calif.
