Edmonton, Ab. (July 17, 2012) - On the heels of the club's Shaw TV and GolTV Canada announcements, Fath Sports (FCE's parent company) has partnered up with CBC Edmonton to air the FC Edmonton and Minnesota Stars FC game live throughout Northern Alberta.

"CBC Edmonton has shown a big commitment to the beautiful game and we're extremely happy that the Eddies will be featured throughout Northern Alberta, live this summer," said M31 Design Group executive producer Kori Chilibeck. M31 works with FCE on video and web design as well as game day broadcasts. "CBC is such a huge piece of Canada's sports and culture fabric; I know the club is thrilled that they'll have a chance to be a part of that."

The deal between Fath Sports and CBC Edmonton is for the Aug. 4 game when the league champions Minnesota Stars FC come to Clarke for the second time in 2012.

CBC Edmonton's Gareth Hampshire and FCE's Steven Sandor will do the colour and play-by-play for the broadcast. The pair has received accolades from throughout the NASL for the work they've done on FCE TV and the Eddies' game day broadcasts.

The last time the two teams faced each other, the Stars left town with all three points after a thrilling 4-3 FCE home opener in which the Eddies were unlucky not to salvage a point.

The team will surely be looking to avenge the loss, which should make for some compelling television if you can't make it out to the stadium on game day. If you happen to live outside the viewing area you can still catch the game on www.CBC.ca/edmonton/soccer .

Fans attending the game can purchase tickets for $15 (regularly $20) per seat prior to the game at www.fcedmonton.com and entering the Promotion Code: cbcedmonton or by calling the FC Edmonton office at 780.439.7529 and mentioning CBC.
