DAKOTA WIZARDS: Head Coach Casey Owens had a strong month in December as he was named the League Coach of the Month as well as the head coach for the 21st CBA All-Star Classic on January 19, in Gary, Indiana... The award marks the first monthly coaching honor for Owens, who is in his first season as a head coach in the CBA... In the middle of a seven game road trip, Dakota sits with a 2-2 record dropping the second game of each series with Idaho and Yakima. The conclusion of this week also marked the first without starting point guard Billy Keys due to his call-up to play with a club in Europe...The Wizards put Keys on the inactive reserve list on Monday, but his replacement, Maurice Baker, turned in an outstanding effort the last four games posting an average of 24.0 ppg and 9.0 apg. Dakota continues their road trip this week with games in Michigan on Tuesday and Wednesday and Sioux Falls on Friday. All games can be listened to on KFYR radio.
