
CBA announces contest participants

Albany, NY (January 22, 2008) - The Continental Basketball Association today announced the participants for the Long Distance Shootout and the Dunk Contest. Both contests will take place will take place before the All-Star Classic.
Showing their skills in the Dunk Contest will be John DeGroat (Pittsburgh Xplosion), Sidney Holmes (Minot Skyrockets), Marshall Phillips (Minot Skyrockets), Demorris Smith (Rio Grande Valley Silverados), Marvin Phillips (Oklahoma Cavalry), and Harvey Thomas (Yakama Sun Kings).
Looking to dial in from long range will be John DeGroat (Pittsburgh Xplosion), Mike Dean (East Kentucky Miners), Zeck Marbury (Atlanta Krunk), Odell Bradley (Butte Daredevils), Aaron Cook (Butte Daredevils), and Desmond Ferguson (Yakama Sun Kings).
"These are some great players who will be able to showcase their talents tonight," said CBA Deputy Commissioner Dennis Truax. "We are happy to give them the opportunity to show what they have to offer to the fans of the CBA."
