Wyoming Cavalry games appeal to both football enthusiasts and those that have absolutely no interest in football. For those that love football, the NFL season is over, and this style of indoor football is as close to the outdoor game as you can get. Those less enthusiastic about football, love the fast pace of the indoor game and the overall entertainment.
"Fans are treated to a unique experience each time they attend a game," says General Manager Mike Layton. "Whether it's a prize when they enter, a new promotion, a unique opening ceremony, surprise guests, or different half-time entertainment, Casper fans can expect an evening of fun, excitement, and fast-paced football action. And, the games are totally interactive. Where else can you shake hands with the kicker right before the kick-off? Or, share a "high-five" with the players after they make a touch down? Cavalry games are great fun for all ages. This year we have partnered with the Natrona County Prevention Coalition, and we have added a family section so families can enjoy an area where no alcohol or inappropriate language will be allowed."
The Wyoming Cavalry is one of the inaugural teams in the National Indoor Football league (NIFL), and the first Pacific Conference Champion. 2006 marks the sixth season the Cavalry players will take the home field at the Casper Events Center. Head Coach, Shannon Moore, returns to lead the Cavs. The Cavs finished the 2005 season with a 10-4 record, and brought a home playoff game back to Casper.
NIFL and its member teams are not affiliated, sponsored or associated with the arena football league or any of its member teams.
