Casper, WY - The Wyoming Cavalry professional indoor football team 2006 regular-season schedule is confirmed. First home game is set for March 24. The Big Sky Thunder expansion team from Bozeman, MT will make the trip to Wyoming to take on the Cavs. The Cavs open their season on the road March 17 with a huge rivalry game against the Billings Mavericks.

The Wyoming Cavalry is one of three teams in the Pacific West Division. The Lincoln, NE Capitols and Rapid City, SD Red Dogs round out the PacWest. Tri Cities Fever, Billings Mavericks, and Big Sky Thunder make up the Pacific North. The Katy, TX Copperheads, Beaumont, TX Drillers, Twin City Gators (Monroe, LA), Hammond, LA Heroes, and the Fayetteville, AR Stars are part of the Pacific South.
"It's not too late to reserve your season tickets," says Wyoming Cavalry General Manager, Mike Layton. "This is going to be another great year of fast-paced indoor football and family entertainment. Shannon Moore is back as head coach. Ed Atchley returns as line coach, and Rodney Swanigan from Columbus, OH will join the Cavalry family as the defensive coordinator. This year we have partnered with the Natrona County Prevention Coalition, and we have added a family section so families can enjoy an area where no alcohol or inappropriate language will be allowed. And, of course, Custer, the Cavs' mascot, will be back."

The Wyoming Cavalry is one of the inaugural teams in the National Indoor Football League (NIFL), and the first Pacific Conference Champion. 2006 marks the sixth season the Cavalry players will take the home field at the Casper Events Center. The Cavs finished the 2005 season with a 10-4 record, and brought a home playoff game back to Casper.
