INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever's Tamika Catchings will conduct her fifth annual "Catch the Fever" holiday basketball camp for boys and girls, ages 9-14, Dec. 28-30, at Riverside Family Center (2420 E. Riverside Drive) in Indianapolis. Camp admission is $75 per camper and includes daily lunches, a Nike camp T-shirt and basketball, personalized skill assessments and a ticket voucher to a 2006 Fever home game.

Catchings is the lead instructor all three days of the camp. Camp runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during its first two days, and from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Dec. 30. The final session of camp is followed by a holiday awards banquet for campers and families.

An Olympic gold medalist and three-time Women's National Basketball Association All-Star, Catchings was third in voting for the WNBA's Most Valuable Player award last summer. She operates her annual camp and clinics as part of her Catch The Stars Foundation, Inc., which motivates youth to reach their dreams by providing positive academic and sports-related programs.

Sponsored by Nike and the Indiana Fever, her camp is a three-day program designed to improve individual skills as well as promote the importance of sportsmanship, academics and goal-setting. Individual basketball work with Catchings will include drills pertaining to shooting, passing, rebounding and defense.

Space is limited to the first 100 campers. For more information, visit Tamika's newly designed website at catchin24.com, call (317) 329-8424, or e-mail catchthefever24@aol.com.
