Rockford Thunder News Release
February 2, 2009 - Well after the 2007 Season I took a job at DePaul University, so I have been living in Lincoln Park and enjoying getting to know a new area of the country. I spent last year with the Olympic team touring, training and competing over in China! It was a great opportunity, and I am always honored to wear the USA uniform.
Since the Olympics ended in August, I have been busy with work and school back at DePaul. Yes, I'm getting my Masters here at DePaul, so I keep plenty busy.
I bought a Sheltie, named him Tucker, and he keeps me company! He's the most adorable dog ever. He'll make the move with me to Rockford in the summer.
I have just started to work out again in order to be ready for season. I needed a break, so I took my time coming back. My holidays were a wonderful time! I spent a lot of time in Texas with my family. My favorite part though was going snowboarding for New Years! I learned fairly quick and enjoyed it so much. Plus I came home in one piece!
I look forward to rejoining the Thunder, and once again competing for the title. I love that we picked up Chelsea (Spencer) and Megan (Willis). They both will be huge additions to our team. Personally, I am going to enjoy throwing to Megan again... you can't duplicate the relationship we have.
See you all in May!! Go Thunder!!
Sincerely,
Cat Osterman, Pitcher, #8
