BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, November 9, 2009 - The Commissioner of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Gilles Courteau, today announced that this Thursday's game between the Shawinigan Cataractes and the P.E.I. Rocket has been postponed until Saturday.
"In order to give us an opportunity to appropriately evaluate the situation while giving the Cataractes' players afflicted with the flu virus more time to get better, we have decided to postpone this Thursday's game between the Cataractes and the Rocket," indicated the Commissioner, Gilles Courteau. "This decision was made following the recommendation of our chief physician, Dr. Sylvain Boutet. Our goal is to remain proactive in regards to the health and security of our players. I would like to thank the President and Governor of the Rocket, Serge Savard Jr., for his cooperation in this matter."
The game is now scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 14, at the Charlottetown Civic Centre. The game will start at 7 pm.
