The Minnesota Magicians are excited to announce that forward Casey Jerry has committed to play Division-I hockey at Canisius College of the Atlantic Hockey Association (AHC).
A River Falls, Wisconsin native, Jerry has been the Magicians' most productive offensive player this season. In 56 games played, he has registered 16 goals to go along with team highs of 30 assists and 46 points. Jerry also competed at this year's NAHL Top Prospect's event as a member of the Central Division squad, picking up 6 shots and a +3 rating during the 2-day tournament.
Magicians Head Coach and General Manager Scott Meyer said of Jerry's commitment, "We are very proud of Casey and the Division-I opportunity he has earned with Canisius. His passion for the game, work ethic, and character make him the person and player he is."
Prior to his time with the Magicians, Jerry spent a season with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders of the United States Hockey League (USHL) before being drafted by the Magicians in the first round (#4 overall) of the 2015 NAHL Entry Draft. Prior to his junior career, he played high school hockey at River Falls High School in Wisconsin. He will enroll at Canisius in the fall of 2016.
