Published on June 24, 2006 under Major League Lacrosse (MLL) News Release

Boston, MA (June 24, 2006) - Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, and Cascade Lacrosse, the leading manufacturer of lacrosse helmets worldwide, today announced a partnership in which the two parties will join forces to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer.

Cascade will manufacture a limited-edition run of 40 pink CPX helmets to be worn by the Major League Lacrosse All Stars when they take on Team USA on July 6, 2006 at Nickerson Field in Boston, MA.

A Silent Auction for the helmets will be launched at the game and continue on the Major League Lacrosse website (www.majorleaguelacrosse.com) through July 20. All funds raised will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, which devotes its resources to breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs.

The helmets will feature combinations of logos from the All Star players' home team, Major League Lacrosse and the breast cancer ribbon. The helmets will be personally signed by members of the MLL All Star squad and other prominent lacrosse players.

Prior to the All Star game, Major League Lacrosse plans to host several ceremonial face-offs, during which the limited addition helmets will be worn. At the July 22 Boston Cannon - Baltimore Bayhawk game Cascade will present auction proceeds to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

"We are proud to partner with Cascade on such an important matter," said David Gross, MLL Commissioner. "Breast Cancer has touched so many lives. We are happy to be able to play a role in fighting this disease."

"In MLL and its players we have found like-minded partners," said Bob Colburn, Executive VP, Sales and Marketing, Cascade. "...ones who are committed to working together in support of a worthy cause."
