Pulaski Mariners News Release

Pulaski Mariners' C/1B Carlton Tanabe was called up to the class AA Jackson Generals Friday evening. At the time of his departure, Tanabe was a vital cog in the Mariners' offense as well as a fan favorite.

The Seattle Mariners selected Carlton with their 24th round selection in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of Pearl City High School in Hawaii.

Tanabe played in 39 of Pulaski's 46 games and split his time between first base and the catcher's position. He batted .326 with one home run, 13 doubles, and drove in 21 runs. Tanabe's marks for batting average and doubles were best among active Mariners.

The entire Pulaski Mariners as well as the fans of Pulaski wish Carlton Tanabe the best of luck as he finishes out the 2014 season.
