
Carlos Merancio Earns Team of the Week Honors

Carlos Merancio didn't let rain or a lightning delay throw him off his game Saturday, as he faced the highest league expected goals in Week 15 against Northern Colorado Hailstorm.
The 23-year-old from Hermosillo, Mexico, recorded a season-high six saves - including several sprawling and diving stops - to preserve a 1-1 tie at Kino North Stadium.
Merancio's efforts were recognized Monday as he was named to the USL League One Team of the Week.
Merancio has started all 14 games for FC Tucson and is fourth in the league with 32 saves. He has also posted a pair of shutouts.
